Closed on Juneteenth
Buxton Town Hall, 185 Portland Road, will be closed on Monday, June 19, in observance of the Juneteenth holiday.
The building will ropen at 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 20.
Historical society reminder
Vana Carmona will speak on slavery in Maine when the Buxton-Hollis Historical Society meets at 7 p.m, Tuesday, June 20, at the society’s headquarters, 100 Main St. in Buxton.
The historical society is open 4-8 p.m. on Thursdays. For more information, the society can be reached at 929-1684.
