Jeannine Mary Simon

TOPSHAM – Jeannine Mary Simon, 80, died on Thursday, June 1, 2023.

Born in Chéticamp, Nova Scotia, Jeannine was a daughter of the late Auguste and Louise Deveaux.

Jeannine practiced nursing in McAdam, New Brunswick where she met her first husband, Dr. Francis Chan, and settled in Caribou. Dr. Chan passed in 1983, and she later married her second husband, Dr. Pedro T. Simon. Jeannine and Pedro moved to Topsham after retirement and spent time in Marco Island, Fla., and the Philippines. Jeannine was an avid reader, puzzle enthusiast, and accomplished with needlepoint.

Jeannine is survived by two brothers; three sons, three stepchildren; and 11 grandchildren.

There will be a celebration of Jeannine’s life to be held on June 17, between 12 p.m. and 5 p.m. at 5 Redpoll Drive in Topsham.
