Vicki grew up in Portland, and met the love of her life, Scott Keniston, at the age of 15. They went through their years together at Deering High School where Vicki graduated in 1964. After graduation, Vicki continued her education at Westbrook College and later began a career as an x-ray technician.
Scott and Vicki married on Aug. 3, 1968, and had their only child, Gretchen, in 1972. Vicki took on the role of an amazing stay at home mom and they settled in Winterport where they spent almost 50 more years creating a wonderful life together. Their days were full of outdoor adventures; white water canoeing, hunting, fishing, camping and boating. They enjoyed traveling and taking the whole family on several vacations.
On June 23, 2022, after 60 years together, Vicki was predeceased unexpectedly by her husband, Scott. Surviving, are her daughter, Gretchen and very special son-in-law, Mark; a grandson, Zack, who shared many cross country road trips with his grandparents and a granddaughter, Kacey, who Vicki loved to cheer for at every softball game! Vicki is also survived by several special friends including Brenda Kingsbury, Julie Willette, Debbie Gilpatrick and Pat Roberts.
At Vicki’s request, there will be a private interment in Oak Hill Cemetery in Winterport at a later date. Condolences to the family may be expressed at BrookingsSmith.com.
