David Fiorini, South Portland Class of 2019, got to suit up for Mercyhurst University and play in the men’s lacrosse Division II national championship game Sunday in Philadelphia. The Lakers lost, 20-5, to Lenoir-Rhyne, but it was a perfect way for Fiorini, a senior, to cap the year. Fiorini scored six goals and added four assists this season. Fiorini was an All-American for the Red Riots, where he played with his older brother, Jack Fiorini, and for his father, Tom Fiorini.
