One of the main reasons why I buy the hard copy of the Press Herald and Maine Sunday Telegram every day is for the comics and crossword puzzles. You made a unilateral decision to replace “Dilbert” with “Herb & Jamaal.” In the past, you’ve allowed readers to vote for a replacement comic strip, but not this time.
I find “Herb & Jamaal” not to be funny or thought-provoking. I suggest that you remove it and replace it with “Sherman’s Lagoon,” which is drawn by Jim Toomey with characters that include sharks and other sea creatures. It began in 1991 and runs in about 150 newspapers. In addition to being very funny, it also emphasizes climate change.
