Diana A. Evans

CAPE NEDDICK – The family of Diana A. Evans is sad to announce her death on May 8, 2023. She died at her home in Cape Neddick after a brief illness surrounded by loved ones.

Diana grew up in Skowhegan and attended Gould Academy followed by Tufts University. She started her career working as a dental hygienist before marrying and becoming a homemaker. She raised two wonderful and amazingly attractive children while also helping run the family restaurant during the summer months. Later in life she split her time between Maine and Florida with her husband.

She was predeceased by her husband John; and survived by her son, Jason and his wife, April, their children, Tyler and Jillian of Ogunquit; and her daughter, Susan Canney, and granddaughter Morgan Canney of Braintree, Mass. They all share her quirky sense of humor and appreciation of a well-played practical joke.

A service will take place on Friday May 12 at 10 a.m. in the Lucas and Eaton Funeral Home, 91 Long Sands Rd., York, with burial to follow at First Parish Cemetery, 180 York St., York. For online condolences please visit http://www.lucaseatonfuneralhome.com
