CASCO – Joanne “JoJo” N. Burrows of Casco. formerly of Gorham, passed April 29, 2023. Born Nov. 15, 1928, she was the daughter of Harold Nielsen and Johanne Nielsen. She graduated from Gorham High School in 1947.

Joanne was an excellent seamstress and tailor and taught classes at Gorham Adult Ed. She also knit sweater ski sets for all her children. She canned many string beans to eat through the winter. Later in life she traveled all over the United States in her Lincoln and with her sons in their big trucks.

She was predeceased by her husband, George Burrows; daughter, Penni Burrows; grandson Dustin Burrows. She is survived by her children Pamela (Stephen) Loura, Perry Burrows, Pete (Wendy) Burrows, Paul (Karen) Burrows; grandchildren, Jesse Loura (fiancé Lindsey Hall), Kristal (Rich) Trott, Travis (Carly) Burrows, Cameron (Hannah) Burrows, Hanle May Burrows (Jonathan Latham), Cody (Olivia) Burrows and Tyler Burrows; great grandchildren, Richie, Reese and Charley Trott; Logan and Hadley Burrows, Molly, Zachery, and Jaxon Latham; and Colette Burrows.

At her request there will be no funeral.
