Let’s call Fox News what it is: a reality TV production meant to grab viewers by using outrageous conservative right-wing ideology. The filters are few and the facts are sparse.
Tucker Carlson made the Murdoch family richer by attracting a disgruntled audience and firing them up with misinformation and lies. He got the boot not for all the misinformation, lies and the damage his rhetoric brought about but instead for becoming a liability to the Murdoch family wealth.
Carlson will now have to look for another extreme right-wing production to star in. Maybe “Carlson’s Network of Lies,” “The Carlson Right-Wing Hour,” or “Make Carlson Great Again.” Rupert Murdoch will have to find another version of Tucker Carlson (hopefully not more extreme) to make “Rupert Murdoch Great Again.”
I don’t believe any lessons will be learned at Fox News or by Tucker Carlson. It’s all about misinformation and extremes for money. Fox News is a reality TV show, not journalistic news.
