Farmers market opens next week
Cherry Hill Farmers Market at lower Main Street (Route 25) in Gorham will open for the season on Wednesday, May 3. Products include meat, produce, flowers and crafts.
The outdoor market, next to Sebago Brewing Company, will be open 2-6 p.m. every Wednesday through September with free parking. Food trucks are new this year.

Brush drop-off
Public Works will accept brush from residents from 8 a.m. to noon on May 6 and May 20 at 80 Huston Road.
No commercial drop-off or stumps will be allowed. Leaves and grass clippings will be accepted throughout the season.

The American Journal reported on April 25, 1973, that Alice Robie of Robie Street celebrated her 82nd birthday on April 17. Guests included Mr. and Mrs. Guy Kendall of South Street and Elizabeth Fox of Narragansett Street.
