BUCKFIELD — A 14-year-old Buckfield girl reported missing since last week was found Tuesday in Lewiston, Oxford County Chief Deputy James Urquhart said Wednesday.
A family member located Hannah Thomas on a downtown street about 3:5o p.m. and contacted Lewiston police, who picked up her up and brought her to St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center for evaluation, Urquhart said.
Thomas was reported missing March 29 by her mother, with whom she resides.
Thomas has frequently run away. In the past, she has been located after several days by family or friends in the Lewiston-Auburn area, Urquhart said. Last November, she was located in North Carolina after being missing for about a week, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators continue to work on the case that led to Thomas being missing for almost a week, Urquhart said.
