Norbert Mukwayanzo

PORTLAND – Norbert passed peacefully from this life, the afternoon of March 22, 2023, after a short decline in health. He was surrounded and supported by his loving family and caregivers during the last days of his life.

Norbert was born in DRC in 1947 but has been in Maine since 2022. Norbert was a graduate University of Lubumbashi where he successfully completed a degree in International Relations. He worked at Gecamines Commercial until he retired in 1997.

Norbert is survived by eight children, their spouses and 15 grandchildren: Jean Claude, wife Helene, children Ketsia, Joyce, Claudia and Soraya; Emmanuel, wife Bijoux, children Stacy and Bianca; Mijoe, husband Jean paul, children Maria, Henriette and Malik; Alida, husband Christian, children Bwania; Juliette, husband Lopez, children Riveria, Josephina, and Lopezina; Nono, wife Nono, children Leo, Thia, Noah; Vicky; Augustin, wife Jael.
