MANCHESTER, N.H. – Sister Jeannette Levasseur P.M., (Sister St. Adrien) 91, of the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary, Manchester, N.H. died March 26, 2023.

She was born in Dorchester, Mass. on Oct. 27, 1934 to Adrien and Marie Rose (Provost) Levasseur. She made her religious profession in 1955. Sr. Jenny obtained her BM from Rivier College and studied classical music in Quebec. She taught in various elementary schools in New Hampshire, Maine and Rhode Island, and was director and core group member of Our Lady of Hope, House of Prayer in New Ipswich, N.H. for many years. Being talented in voice and music, Sr. Jenny was one of 60 sisters throughout the country, selected from over 500 applicants, to be part of a recording of “Sisters in Song”, “Rejoice”. She was involved in Liturgical Music Ministry all of her life. She retired St. Joseph Residence in 2019.

She was predeceased by her parents; and her brother, Paul Levasseur.

She is mourned by her brother, Joseph and wife Rita Levasseur of Saco, her sister-in-law, Jacqueline Levasseur; and her nieces and nephews.

A private visitation is Wednesday, March 29 from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., followed immediately by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m., all in Resurrection Chapel of St. Marie Residence, 495 Mammoth Rd., Manchester, NH 03104. Private burial will be at Presentation of Mary Cemetery, Hudson, N.H.
