Samuel J. Cook

BUXTON – Samuel J. Cook, 46, of Deering Drive passed away Sunday March 19, 2023. He was born Sept. 21, 1976 in Portland, the son of Richard and Cheryl Boyce Cook.

Samuel attended local Buxton Schools and graduated from Bonny Eagle High school. He later attended classes at the University of Southern Maine in Gorham.

Samuel worked at the families cabinet business, as well as a salmon fisherman in Alaska and then as a commercial fisherman back in Maine.

Samuel was an avid avid outdoors man. He loved always being in the woods.

He is survived by his father Richard Cook of Buxton; two brothers Benjamin Cook and his wife Angie of Standish and Caleb Cook of Standish, a sister Laurie Douglas and her husband Tim of Scarborough; and a niece Kathleen Douglas.

Visiting hour will be held Sunday March 26, 2023 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Dennett, Craig & Pate Funeral Home 13 Portland Road, Buxton.
