Good Theater presents the Maine premiere of “Nureyev’s Eyes.” The play is about two notable men. Painter Jamie Wyeth, 76, is the son of Andrew Wyeth and grandson of N.C. Wyeth. Soviet Union-born Rudolf Nureyev, who died in 1993 at the age of 54, is still considered to be one of the greatest ballet dancers that ever lived. “Nureyev’s Eyes” is set in the ’70s during a time when Wyeth painted several portraits of Nureyev. Initially, they were like oil and vinegar, but as the paintings were done much common ground was discovered.
