
The Cumberland County Ice Fishing Derby was held Feb. 18-19 to raise money for Sebago Lake Rotary’s charitable efforts throughout the year. Although Sebago Lake was off limits last weekend because of unsafe conditions, competitors took to other lakes and ponds in the county in search of winning pickerel and perch.
The winners:
Pickerel:
1. Scott Dube: 4.26 pounds, 25.5 inches
2. Brian Rocray: 4.25 pounds, 25.5 inches
3. Adam Bryant: 3.20 pounds, 23.5 inches
Yellow perch:
Chris Green swept the category, winning first, second and third place with two yellow perch at 1.20 pounds, 13 inches, and one at 1.16 pounds, 13.25 inches.
White perch:
1. Shanna Hudgin: 1.62 pounds, 14.5 inches
2. Tyler Holmquist: 1.60 pounds, 13.5 inches
3. Shanna Hudgin: 1.50 pounds, 13.25 inches
Ben Carlin was the $5,000 cash grand prize winner. Shannon Hallgren won the 50/50 raffle.
