A Portland man who was injured in a hit-and-run in December has died, police said Tuesday.
Aron Werman, 41, was hit by a Honda CRV around 8:40 p.m. on Dec. 14 while crossing Brighton Avenue at Taft Road. Werman died Sunday as a result of the injuries he suffered in the crash, police said.
Portland police were notified of Werman’s death by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. He had been hospitalized since the crash, according to police.

Police are still investigating the crash and are actively looking for the driver. The car was described as a twilight blue 2012-2014 Honda CRV. It would have had significant front-end damage after the crash, according to police.
The driver was last seen heading inbound on Brighton Avenue after fleeing the crash scene.
Police ask anyone who witnessed the crash or who has information about it to call them at 874-8532.
