
WINDHAM – Alfred Baxter, 83, passed away on Saturday Feb. 11, 2023, at the Ledgewood Manor Nursing Home, with his loving family by his side. He was born Feb. 18, 1939, in Oxford, a son of the late Alfred and Bernice (Bragton) Baxter. He was married to Marlene Baxter, and they had 50 years of marriage until her passing in May of 2022. His greatest joy was spending time with family, he was a dedicated husband and father who would do anything for his family. He was predeceased by his loving parents, Alfred and Bernice Baxter; his beloved wife, Marlene.
He leaves to cherish his loving memory his loving children, son, Willie Baxter and his companion Connielynn Higgins, daughter, Phyllis and her husband Matthew Lemay, son, Jeff Baxter, and daughter, Susan Hanna and her boyfriend Tom. He also leaves his loving grandchildren, Miranda Baxter, Travis, Todd and Mercedes Fickett, Michael Darling and his wife Kyra, and Heidi Darling. He also leaves seven great-grandchildren. The family will greet friends on, from Sunday Feb. 19, from 10 to 12 a.m. at the Oxford Hills Funeral Home, 1037 Main St. Oxford.
