BELMONT, N.C. – Timothy Wholey passed away peacefully on Feb. 8, 2023, at home in Belmont, N.C., surrounded by his loving family. He fought a very long battle with Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis (PSC) for over 20 years.

Tim was born in Ridgewood, N.J. to Eileen and Glenn Wholey. He moved to Bridgton, Maine from the Bronx, N.Y. in 1970, graduating from Lake Region High School in 1972. Tim attended Bridgton Academy, Whittier College and The University of Maine in Orono. He was a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity.

Tim leaves behind his wife of 37 years, Mary Donovan Wholey; children Kelly Petrere, Grant and Kevin Wholey, son-in law Ryan Petrere; and his granddaughter Brynn Petrere. He also leaves behind his sister Jane Wholey Cahill (Michael), brother Jack Wholey (Jane Beaulieu); and many nieces and nephews who will always remember their wonderful times with Uncle Tim.

A private family service will be held this summer in Maine.
