Job Corps is currently enrolling those aged 16 to 24 who are interested in free career training, including automotive, welding, healthcare, electrical and culinary arts.
An information session is scheduled for 4-5 p.m. March 7 at Portland Public Library and for 5-6 p.m. March 21 at Curtis Memorial Library in Brunswick. Virtual sessions will be held from 5-6 p.m. March 14 and March 26.
Housing and meals are provided to trainees, with job placement upon completion of training. High school diplomas or high school equivalency certificates can be earned through the training programs.
