The AARP Foundation Tax-Aide Program will provide free, in-person tax preparation assistance at Falmouth Memorial Library from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. each Friday through the end of tax season.
The program, run by trained and IRS-certified volunteers, is available to anyone, with a special focus on the those over age 50. The volunteers are up to date on the latest changes and additions to the tax code. Each year, the volunteers file taxes for free for about 20,000 Maine residents.
