Very Merry Falmouth begins next week with the 36th annual Falmouth Community Tree Lighting at Village Park at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 1.
On Friday, Dec. 2, the traditional Merry Mix and Mingle with music, cookies and hot chocolate and children’s activities and a photo booth, will be held from 6-8 p.m. at the American Legion, followed by fireworks at 7 p.m.
Saturday, Dec. 3, begins with the Ugly Sweater 5K and Merry Mile Fun Run on Route 1, with proceeds benefiting the Falmouth Memorial Library. Foreside Community Church is hosting a Christmas fair from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and the Episcopal Church of Saint Mary is hosting its Sparkles Church Fair from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Also on Dec. 3, Flagship Cinema is offering free holiday movies from 10 a.m. to noon. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., there will be free ice skating at Twombly Pond, weather permitting.
