Yarmouth senior Ava Feeley, joined by her parents, Amanda and Lance, teammates Sadie Carnes, Eliza O’Neill and Kate Sahagian, and Clippers Coach Andy Higgins, is all smiles after signing her National Letter of Intent Monday to attend and play soccer at Boston College. Feeley, the program’s all-time leading scorer, who tallied 34 goals this fall, highlighted by three goals in the recent Class B state final, said after Monday’s ceremony that BC caught her eye and quickly became her top choice.
“I knew immediately when I stepped foot on campus that (Boston College) was the right place for me,” said Feeley, who is undecided on a major. “Getting an opportunity to play in the (Atlantic Coast Conference) is amazing. I’m so excited. This has been a huge dream for me for the longest time. I’m super-grateful for the opportunity I’ve been given and the people who have helped me along the way, like my parents, friends and coaches.”
