Her second job was Executive Secretary at Hartford Hospital, where she met her future husband, Dr. Guy Turcotte, Md. They married and moved to Cape Elizabeth in May 1956.

While in Maine, Connee supported Guy in his psychiatric practice as a bookkeeper and secretary. She also had many volunteer roles including the Maine Medical Center Auxiliary, Cape Elizabeth Garden Club, Cape Elizabeth Light House, St. Bartholomew Catholic Church and the Senior Olympics. Brooksby is just ten miles from their home in Beverly Farms, Mass. Daughter Denise and her son-in-law, Stephen Frazier, live in Springfield, Va. They made the nine-hour trip to Massachusetts several times each year for the last nine years.
