Dave Granlund’s syndicated editorial cartoon (Nov. 1, Page A4) suggests abuse now that Elon Musk owns Twitter.
A few years back, I had commented roughly 6,000 times in two years on President Trump’s Twitter account. When Trump was kicked from the platform, so was I. All comments made by me were respectful and well within Twitter’s guidelines.
However, when many folks from the left side of the aisle were frustrated at their failure to properly express themselves, they violated Twitter’s guidelines at will and resorted to the most vile and abusive language and material imaginable. During the two years I was on Twitter, these accounts remained active and unregulated.
The truth is the left wants silence from any ideology but their own. Not only does Elon Musk present free speech, but he also brings an overdue breath of fresh air to a formerly nefarious platform.
