Retired Navy Seal and Republican Ed Thelander is running to represent the 1st District in the U.S. Congress. America is heading in the wrong direction. Ed will course correct.

Democratic Rep. Chellie Pingree has supported policies that have led to higher heating oil, gasoline and electric prices. Unrestrained federal spending resulted in my family finances circling the drain. In this election, if nothing changes, nothing changes.

We have serious problems. Ed Thelander is a problem solver. His record proves that. An honest man, motivated by the drive for excellence, he has met challenges in his life most of us cannot even imagine. Yet, he is a soft-spoken and humble man who speaks from the heart. His opponent talks the talk. Ed walks the walk. If you give him your vote Nov. 8, Maine can become part of the solution to America’s serious problems.
