Donations needed for Thanksgiving

The Buxton Community Food Services Co-Op is seeking donations to fill its Thanksgiving baskets. Items needed include gravy, stuffing, turkeys and cranberry sauce. Donations can be dropped off at the co-op at the intersection of Long Plains and Haines Meadow roads in Buxton Center from 8:30-10 a.m. on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

Rabies clinic

The annual dogs and cats rabies vaccination clinic will be held from 1-3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3, at Buxton Public Works Garage, 215 Portland Road. The cost is $8 per vaccination. Dogs must be on leashes and cats are required to be in carriers. For faster service and a three-year vaccination, bring your pet’s previous rabies vaccination certificate.

The clinic is sponsored by the Hollis Animal Clinic, Vacationland Dog Club and the towns of Hollis and Buxton. For more information, call Buxton Town Hall at 929-6171.
