Jonathan Danforth Drake 1966 – 2022 DURHAM – Jonathan Drake passed away unexpectedly in his home from natural causes on Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2022 at the age of 56. He was born in Portland on Jan. 12, 1966 to Spencer and Sandra Drake. Jonathan grew up in South Freeport and graduated from Freeport High School, where he excelled in many sports. Jon was a self-employed painter, as well as a talented professional singer, musician, and showman. He was well known by everyone for his humor, love of hunting, fishing, golfing, and writing and playing music. He met and married Lisa Pooler, Sept. 16, 1995; and adopted her two children, Randi Flydrakenn and Shane Drake, to become part of his family. He spent many years in Lisbon Falls, before moving to Richmond and settling in Durham. He enjoyed traveling with his family on many adventures. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Jonathan is survived by his wife of 27 years, Lisa Drake; daughter, Randi Flydrakenn and her husband Michael Flydrakenn; son, Shane Drake, his wife Heidi Drake, and granddaughter Rory Drake; his mother, Sandra Drake; siblings, brother, Spencer Drake, his wife Cynthia Drake and their two children; sister, Kim Callnan, her husband Kevin Callnan, and their two children. He leaves behind many other nieces, nephews; and in-laws. Jon was predeceased by his father, Spencer Drake Sr. A celebration of life will be held in Freeport at Jameson Tavern on Sunday, Nov. 6, from 3 to 5 p.m., 115 Main St., Freeport, ME 04032. Friends and family are welcome to come and celebrate the life of Jonathan Drake who touched so many lives and left a lasting impression on all who met him.
