Marian L. (Viles) Davis

STAATSBURG, N.Y. – Marian L. (Viles) Davis, 88, formerly from Falmouth, passed away on Oct. 10, 2022, with her loving family by her side.

Marian was born on April 25, 1934, in Falmouth. The daughter of John and Anna Viles. She graduated from Falmouth High School in 1952 and went on to bookkeeping jobs until her retirement from Portland News Company in 1997.

Marian’s passions were sewing and golfing which she excelled in both. She was known to donate many of her quilts to the pediatric unit at the local hospitals. The highlight of her golfing days was when she shot a hole in one at the Riverside Golf Club.

She was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Robert “Bob” Davis in 2011. Also predeceased by her brothers Robert, Richard and his wife, Joyce, Earl and his wife, Nancy, Kenneth and his wife, Marcia, and Roland “Ron”.

Surviving are her sister, Arlene Capron and her husband, George; daughters Jerilyn Datres, Edith “Edie” Davis and Karen Chaleki, sons Robert Mark Davis and John Davis; grandchildren Amanda Bradford, Avary Post, Matthew Bradford, Benjamin Bradford, Blake Hale, Jordan Hale and Michele Davis; great-grandchildren Anthony Mazzacone, Natalie Post, Mason Seymour, Lucas Seymour and Harley Hale.
