Re-elect Lori Gramlich to Legislature
To the editor,
Given the events of the last few years, mental health supports are more important than ever before, especially for our young people who have had to endure so much. Representative Lori Gramlich is the leader we need in Augusta, working hard for mental healthcare over the past four years. Her background as a social worker and former head of the Maine Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers gives her unique insight and expertise into how to solve the mental health crisis. Last year she led the fight to pass a law to help ensure that children receive behavioral health services they need. Representative Gramlich is honest, hardworking, and she gets results. She’s a proven leader. I hope you will join me in voting to re-elect our Representative Lori Gramlich to the Maine Legislature.

To the editor,
Health care. The costs keep increasing. As a senior, I am grateful for pretty good coverage from Medicare, but even still I see it doesn’t cover all the medications I need and the cost of “covered” prescriptions requires I pay an ever escalating co-pay.
We require our legislators to help close the gap between insurance and pharmaceutical companies’ greed and what we need and are actually able to afford here in Old Orchard Beach. No one works harder for us than Rep. Lori Gramlich. She has consistently supported bills that help us handle our health care costs.
I trust Lori Gramlich to vote our interests in legislation impacting, health care, insurance and prescription costs. Please join me in voting for Lori Gramlich this November, and sending her back to Augusta to represent the people of OOB.

Ingwersen for State Senate
To the editor,
I wholeheartedly support Henry Ingwersen’s candidacy for the Maine State Senate District 32 seat. Henry previously served in the state legislature and demonstrated his ability to be an effective, collaborative policymaker. As a legislator, he advocated for our health and welfare. Henry raised a red flag about PFAS contamination, an issue he continues to pursue. As a parent, grandparent, educator, and volunteer, Henry has demonstrated his concern for our future and has worked to protect our environment, enhance land conservation, and address the impacts of climate change. And, as a former small business owner, Henry understands the economic challenges many Mainers face.
Maine has made great strides in restoring public health nursing services and protecting public health, expanding healthcare and dental care coverage, and supporting training programs to address the shortage of healthcare workers in our state. Henry will continue this work to protect us and future generations.

In addition, Mike’s participation in future decisions re: education and future school construction will be a huge benefit.
