I live in an all-electric house, excluding our small gas heater, and I can readily identify with the concerns of everyone out there regarding our future fuel expenses. One of the most important issues concerning all of us Mainers in the near future will be how the state addresses energy. The state’s actions will affect all of our energy costs and every household budget.
Orion Breen is the only candidate who has the background, business understanding and know-how necessary to handle the varying aspects of this complicated industry. Because of his work with a company that operates convenience stores and liquid fuel storage tanks, he understands the tremendous opportunities (as well as the problems) for Maine businesses and job seekers.
We need the knowledge and experience Breen will bring to this legislative position. I hope the voters of Durham, Pownal, Lisbon, Topsham and Bowdoin will take the time to learn more about this exceptional candidate in Maine House District 98.Nancy L Gilbert

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
