Mary E. DiPietrantonio
WESTBROOK – Mary E. DiPietrantonio, 94, of Westbrook, died peacefully on Friday Oct. 14, 2022 in Scarborough.
She was born in Portland Oct. 26, 1927, the daughter of John and Alice (Gallant) Ward. She graduated from Cathedral High School in 1945. Mary married Albert DiPietrantonio in 1961. She worked for New England Telephone for 16 years as an operator. She and Albert enjoyed traveling together. She also enjoyed reading, puzzles, going to the beach and movies. She really enjoyed a cup of tea and a conversation but, most of all, she loved spending time with her family and friends.
Mary was predeceased by her husband, Albert in 2003; her sisters Alice and Joan and her brothers John “Buddy” and Donald.
She is survived by her children Karen Beaudoin and her husband, Paul of Kennebunk, Peter DiPietrantonio and his wife, Michelle of Westbrook, Mark DiPietrantonio and his partner, Jeffrey Huot of Windham and Robert DiPietrantonio and his wife, Debbie of Saco; her grandchildren Kelly Aprea and her husband, Zack of Dover, N.H. and Evan DiPietrantonio of Los Angeles, Calif.; and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Saturday Oct. 22, 2022 at St. Anthony of Padua in Westbrook. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
Mary’s family would like to thank the staff at the Pine Point Center and Hospice of Southern Maine for the compassionate care they gave her.
