Simone Lucille Lapierre, age 99, of Biddeford died at home with family at her side on the evening of October 15, 2022.
She was born in Biddeford, daughter of Leopold and Agnes (Pinard) Spenard.
She graduated from St. Andre’s Grammar School in 1937 and Biddeford High School in 1941.
She married Robert Lapierre in 1942; worked as a legal secretary for over 45 years for Judge Joseph E. Harvey, and following his retirement, worked for his son, John J. Harvey and Richard P. Sullivan, Esqs.; serving also as bookkeeper for Don & Bob’s T.V. Inc.; retiring in 1986 and later worked part time at Hannaford Bros. Co office in Scarborough.
She was a member of St. Andre’s Church and the Daughters of Isabella. She also enjoyed traveling with her husband, sewing, knitting, crafts, puzzles of all kinds, reading, as well as looking forward to the holidays and celebrating them with her family.
Simone was predeceased by her husband, Robert of 57 years, a sister, Laurette Beaudoin Drapeau; Christopher J. Haskell loving partner to her daughter Collette.
She is survived by a son, Robert R. Lapierre and wife Doris; two daughters: Diane L. Gerry and husband Allen and Colette P. Lapierre; two sisters: Jacklyn L. Beaudoin and Lucille Perreault; five grandchildren: Brian Lapierre and partner Beckie, David Lapierre and wife Kelly, Robyn Pavan and husband John, Thomas Gerry and wife Bethany, Anna Haskell; five great-grandchildren: George Lapierre, Amelia Lapierre, Jade Pettengill, Ryker Gerry, Shayler Gerry; and one great-great grandchild, Harmony Kenney.
Following cremation, the visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Sunday, October 23rd at Hope Memorial Chapel. A funeral mass will be said at St. Joseph’s Church on Monday, October 24th at 11:00 am followed by a graveside service at St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
