Over the last few years I’ve had the opportunity to watch Amy Kuhn from afar as well as up close.
Sitting in marathon Town Council meetings, I’ve seen her equanimity in handling proceedings that aroused great passions. I have seen the diligence in her preparation and can only imagine the long hours behind them.
On walks in the woods I have heard her curiosity for the land conservation work that consumes my time, and enjoyed her support when needed.
When she announced her campaign I volunteered and had the opportunity to speak with her at length as she reached out to folks across town. I enjoyed our talks, whether they were about the recent revaluation project, the work of Frederick Law Olmsted, or the experience of one’s children going to college.
Amy has earned my utmost respect. Please join me in supporting her for Maine State House District 111, Falmouth.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
