Theresa O. Dyer

WESTBROOK – Theresa O. Dyer, 88, of Liza Harmon Drive passed away Thursday Oct. 13, 2022, at the Mercy Hospital.

She was born Jan. 17, 1934, the daughter of Emmanuel and Mary Blanchard Peters. She attended local schools and graduated from Westbrook High School.

In later years, she worked as a secretary for Knowlton Machine and then for Garrity Lumber. Theresa recently volunteered at the Westbrook schools, reading to children.

She loved to cook, sew and spend time with her granddaughters. She also enjoyed teaching them how to cook, sew and do crafts.

She was predeceased by her husband, James in 2016.

She is survived by a daughter, Lisa Hesketh of Hollis and husband, William; three granddaughters, Danielle, Macey and her husband, John, and Morgan; and great-grandchildren Camryn Rose and Aiden James.

A committal service will be held Friday, Oct. 28 at 1 p.m. at the Southern Maine Veterans Cemetery Chapel, 83 Stanley Rd., Springvale.

The family would like to extend their thanks to Mercy Hospital and Opportunity Alliance for their great care of Theresa, and for giving their mother her special friend, Joan, whom she cherished her time with.
