Serving our community in elected office requires those we entrust with that honor to balance many diverse needs and interests. Candidates must be dedicated, have a strong work ethic, communicate well and, as with the case of Sophie Warren, have a proven track record of working toward real solutions for the people. Sophie has performed exceedingly well in all of these areas and deserves to continue serving.
Sophie has proven to be a forward-thinking representative who is tuned in to the issues of the many generations she serves. From the climate to coastal issues to the burden of property taxes, Sophie works toward solutions close to home.
Sophie comes from a family of military veterans and those, like her dad, who served the community for many years. She has grown up learning the importance of giving of herself.
I urge you to join me in re-electing Sophie Warren to the Maine House representing the Scarborough coastal district.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
You can read more here about our commenting policy and terms of use. More information is also found on our FAQs.
