Clerks III: The Convenience Tour
7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 6. State Theatre, 609 Congress St., Portland, $30 to $65. statetheatreportland.com
In 1994, the comedy “Clerks” was released and earned its way to cult film status, thanks to its writer and director Kevin Smith who portrayed the character of Silent Bob. There’s never been a finer example of what it’s like to be a convenience store clerk. A sequel was released in 2006, and now, ladies and gentlemen, it’s time for “Clerks III.” The film screening will be immediately followed by a Q&A with Smith himself. If the trailer is any indication, “Clerks III” will be a hilarious, nostalgic romp, and the genius behind it will be there to celebrate its release.
