A Waterford man was seriously injured Sunday in a motorcycle crash in Harrison and transported to Maine Medical Center.

Cumberland County sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a motorcycle crash at 11:04 a.m. at 942 Maple Ridge Road and found Ryan T. Harrington, 31, in the roadway.

It appeared that Harrington was thrown about 25 feet from the bike, according to a news release from Capt. Kerry Joyce.

Harrington was operating a 2007 Honda motorcycle and not wearing a helmet, the sheriff’s office said.

He was transported to the hospital by Life Flight. The crash is under investigation.
