WELLS – It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved James Ryan Mannion, 30, of Wells, on Aug. 14, 2022.
James was born at York hospital, the son of Rosemary and Shawn Mannion and was raised in Wells. He and his brothers grew up as the youngest members of a tight neighborhood full of kids including his sister. James was always being a daredevil alongside the older kids. His first girlfriend at the age of 3, was his neighbor, an “older” woman who was the ripe old age of 7!
James played sports throughout his school years, his favorite sports were football and baseball. From peewee to senior year James was always in a Wells Warrior jersey or uniform. It was not only the game itself that James loved, but his teammates, friends, and the family that became. He leaves behind so many friends from those days and memories with no end. Memories that his mother will shake her head disapproving at, while his friends laugh and realize those were truly great days.
As James grew his daredevil larger than life personality stayed with him, whether it was riding his motorcycle, fishing at his favorite spot or barbering in Portland, he left lasting memories for all those he came in contact with.
The two proudest moments of James life were when he became a Dad! First to his princess Olivia (7) and then to his princess and baby girl Alexa (4). Nothing in this world meant more to him than his two princesses. James loved every moment he spent with his girls, taking them fishing, swimming, hiking, sitting on his motorcycle, teaching them to ride bikes even playing dolls and dress up. His love for his girls was evident in the way he looked and took care of them and the way he held and played with them. Above all he will be remembered for what a great dad he was to Olivia and Alexa.
In his passing, James leaves behind so many that will remember and cherish memories of him, not only his daughters Olivia and Alexa Mannion and their mother, Taylor Webster; but also his mother, Rosemary Mitchell and her husband, Rod Mitchell, his father, Shawn Mannion; brothers Christopher and Brandon Mannion, sister, Joana Titcomb and husband, Justin; grandfather, Richard Mannion, grandmother, María Vicente; nephews Alexander and Benjamin Titcomb, niece/goddaughter, Amelia Titcomb; aunt/godmother Catarina Misiewicz; along with countless numbers of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
