BIDDEFORD — Alfred M. “Slim” Nadeau, age 81, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2022.
He was born on Sept. 20, 1940, in Bucksport, Maine, the son of the late Arthur and Rita (Dunn) Nadeau.
Alfred retired from the Portsmouth Navy Yard and was a longtime member of the Eagles and the AMVETS.
He enjoyed Western movies and being with his family and loved to get teased by his brothers and nephews.
Alfred is survived by: his daughter, Crystal Parks; grandsons, John (Ashley), Josh, Nick, and Noah; great-grandchildren; five brothers, Joe (Judy) Nadeau, Ray (Debbie) Nadeau, Wayne (Sam) Nadeau, Brian (Debbie) Nadeau, and Dan; and sisters, Barb Lariviere, Cindy Dubois, Charlene (Dave) Walsh, Donna Corbeil, Cheryl (Maurice) Precourt, and Sandra St. Onge.
Alfred was preceded in death by his brothers, Ronnie, Gerard, and Tom, and sister, Jeanine Stevens.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2022, at Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm St., Biddeford, Maine.
Friends and family are invited to the Amvets following Mr. Nadeau’s memorial service.
The Hope Memorial Chapel is respectfully handling Mr. Nadeau’s arrangements.
