Absentee ballots may be requested from the City Clerk’s Office until the close of business Nov. 3.
A ballot may be requested online at maine.gov and by calling the clerk’s office between 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. at 207-874-8677.
An absentee ballot application can be mailed to City Clerk’s Office, 389 Congress St., Portland ME 04101, faxed to 207-874-8612, or emailed to elections@portlandmaine.gov.
City residents will elect candidates to fill vacancies on Nov. 8 for District 3 School Board, at-large School Board, District 3 City Council, and one at-large city councilor. Citizens initiatives and charter amendments will also be on the ballot.
