Hires, promotions, appointments
Officer Kayden Nadeau was sworn in July 8 as a patrol officer in the Brunswick Police Department. Nadeau is from Fort Kent and a recent graduate of Thomas College, where he studied criminal justice and forensic psychology.
Cassandra “Casey” Mesick Braun has been appointed curator following an international search at the Bowdoin College Museum of Art. Mesick Braun comes to BCMA from the Spencer Museum of Art at the University of Kansas, where she worked most recently as associate curator of global Indigenous art.
Ronda Steciuk of Falmouth is the new director of the Maine Department of Agriculture, Conservation and Forestry’s Animal Welfare Program.
JoAnn and Jess Paladino, a mother-daughter real estate team, have joined the Re/Max Shoreline office in Portland.
Litigation professionals Philip Coffin, Jeffrey Russell and Cyrus Cheslak have joined Verrill’s Portland office from Lambert Coffin.
Sue Campbell has been named executive director of OUT Maine. Campbell has served as interim executive director since May and was formerly the deputy director.
South Portland resident Shara Drew will begin as the city’s first communications officer on Aug. 31.
