An annual yard sale to benefit the welfare of area cats in need of adoption and care is being held from Thursday, Aug. 11, to Sunday, Aug. 14, at the Cumberland Fairgrounds.
The event runs from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and from 8 a.m. to noon Sunday in the Exhibition Hall at 175 Blanchard Road.
All proceeds from the flagship fundraising event go directly to essential care for hundreds of cats taken in each year by HART (Homeless Animal Rescue Team) of Maine adoption center and shelter for cats in Cumberland.
Items available for sale include furniture, home decor, kitchen gadgets, small appliances, clothing, toys, tools, garden equipment, holiday decorations, collectibles and books.
