Recycling art contest
The recycling company ecomaine is looking for artists to submit designs to be painted on its “silver bullet” recycling containers. Individuals, community groups, or schools are invited to create images related to sustainability and reducing, reusing and recycling trash. The painted containers will be shipped around Maine and New Hampshire to collect community recycling. Anyone living or working in one of ecomaine’s member communities, including Bridgton, is eligible to enter the contest. Winners will receive a $500 stipend and be reimbursed up to $500 for supplies. Designs must be submitted on templates provided by ecomaine and be received by 5 p.m. Aug. 23. Further information, templates and examples of previous winners can be found at ecomaine.org.
