City concert schedule
El Grande will be performing at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 21, at Valle Square.
Bess Jacques & The Strays are set for 7 p.m. Friday, July 22, at Conant Homestead, 99 Conant St. The farm opens at 6 p.m. and the suggested donation is $10.
Darlin’ Corey will entertain at 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 26, at Riverbank Park on Main Street.
50 years ago
The American Journal on July 26, 1972, reported that the Westbrook High Class of 1957 held its reunion in Yarmouth. Peter Beal of Presque Isle won a prize for having traveled the greatest distance to attend. Among other award winners, Robert Hudson was recognized as the man with the longest hair.
