Patricia Pride

FALMOUTH – Beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend, Patricia Pride, 86, passed away May 13, 2022, with her loving family by her side.

Born in White Lake, Wis., on Aug. 3, 1935, to parents Peter J. Matelski and Isabelle D. Matelski. She graduated from Union Free High School in White Lake, Wis. She met and married her husband Richard W. Pride in Washington D.C., raising her family in Silver Spring, Md., and upon retirement relocating to Maine.

Patricia is survived by her brother Robert Matelski of Wausau, Wis.; son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Jennifer Pride of Manassas, Va., daughter, Jennifer Pride of Limington, daughter-in-law, Stacy Pride of Charleston, S.C.; grandchildren Kendall, Kelsey and Finnian; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Linda and James Jones of Raymond, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jeffrey and Andree Pride of Kittery; and many cousins; nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Richard Winfield Pride; her oldest son, David Winfield Pride; and brother, Donald Matelski.

She is loved and treasured by all who had the good fortune of knowing her. A gathering of family and friends will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Patricia’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (StJude.org) and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF.org).
