Jim Gallant Band to perform at gazebo

The Jim Gallant Band will entertain during a free lawn concert from 6-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 19, at the gazebo in front of the municipal center, 75 South St. If the weather is inclement, the concert will be moved to Shaw Gym in the municipal center.

Food trucks rolling in

Food trucks will be at the Little Falls Recreation Area at 664 Gray Road from 4-8 p.m. Thursdays.

The rotating list of vendors will include Fred’s Fried Dough, Mow’s Munchies, Top It Ice Cream, Cheese The Day, Maine Maple Creemee and Ironclad Eats.

Driving tips for seniors

AAA traffic safety education specialist Tom Baran will speak at 11 a.m. Monday, July 18, at Lakes Region Senior Center, 40 Acorn St., Gorham. The event is free and light refreshments will be served.

50 years ago

The American Journal reported July 19, 1972, that the Ladies Circle at West Gorham Union Church honored its pastor, the Rev. Harrison Dubbs, with a potluck meal, cake and ice cream for his 80th birthday.
