Lewis L. Golder Sr.

WINDHAM – Lewis L. Golder Sr., 82, passed away on June 27, 2022, at home with his loved ones by his side. He was born on Nov. 27, 1939, to the late Willa L. Cottle and Bernard C. Golder Sr. of Westbrook. 

Lewis attended Westbrook High School. After high school he served in the National Guard and soon after worked with his father as a general contractor. After his father passed, he took over the business, Golder Construction, and owned and operated the business for over 30 years. In 1958, he married Suzanne Allen and they settled in Westbrook and had five children, Teresa, Lewis Jr., Kevin, Sherry, and Holly. They were married for 27 years. He later married Audrey McCrillis Powers of Pittsfield and they settled in Windham. 

In addition to his loving and dear wife, Audrey, he is survived by his five children, Teresa Brady and her husband, Dan, Lewis L. Golder, Jr., Kevin Golder, Sherry Walrath, and Holly Packard and her husband, Warren; his wife’s two children, Roberta Hodgkins and Alan Hodgkins, his wife, Roxanne; 17 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
