Reading the ghastly news about Russian bombing of health facilities in Ukraine, I want to encourage people to wonder how Russia is motivating people to carry out this type of mission.

The photos of Ukrainians fleeing and suffering show that they are just like us. The Russian military is composed of people just like us. So, how do people just like you and me become perpetrators and victims of such incredible violence?

We, the people, need to understand this, and apply that understanding to ourselves, our neighbors, our country.
