
Pihcintu Choir performing at local church
Maine’s multi-cultural Pihcintu Choir, with 35 girls representing 22 countries, will perform at 4 p.m. Saturday, March 19, at First Parish Congregational Church, 1 Church St. Donations will be accepted and refreshments will be served after the performance. The church can be reached at 839-6751.
Lawn care workshops
The first in a series of workshops on lawn care by Cumberland County Soil & Water Conservation District will beheld from 6-8 p.m. March 30 at Windham Public Library, either in person or via a webinar. An in-person workshop will be held April 14 at Yarmouth Water District of by webinar and another webinar is scheduled for April 26. Each workshop is $15 at cumberlandswsd.org/workshops. The American Journal reported March 15, 1972, that Sgt. and Mrs. James Key of Loring Air Force Base visited his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Key of South Street. They stayed at the home of her parents in Scarborough.
