A 19-year-old man died Friday night after he lost control of his vehicle in North Berwick, police said.
Hunter Cordaro, 19, of Lebanon, was driving a Mini Cooper on the Lebanon Road at 9:41 p.m. in the area of Card Mill Lane when he rounded a curve in the road, lost control of his vehicle, and was ejected during the crash, according to the North Berwick Police Department.
Officers arrived on the scene in less than two minutes and began administering life-saving measures, but Cordaro was unresponsive, police said.
North Berwick Fire and Rescue and the Life Flight Ground Team arrived and took over rendering aid. But despite the best efforts of the first responders Cordaro was pronounced dead at 10:24 p.m., police said.
The crash is under investigation with the assistance of a reconstructive team from the York Police Department. Preliminary investigation indicates excessive speed could be a factor in the crash.
Hunter Cordaro was a 2020 graduate of Noble High School, according to Foster’s Daily Democrat.
